Noticias para Los Californianos Indices
Introduction
Los Californianos has published a quarterly newsletter, Noticias para Los Californianos ("News for
Los Californianos"), since 1969, shortly before the incorporation of the organization. We are
grateful to our editors and contributors who have created Noticias para Los Californianos over the
years. As a non-profit organization run only by volunteers, we thank everyone who has generously
donated their time and energy to produce Noticias.
Between 1979 and 1982, a series of 12 pamphets called California Hispánica ("The Hispanic
Heritage of California") was published by the Genealogical Committee of Los Californianos for the
information of our members. The pamphlets dealt with subjects related to the main purpose of our
organization: the genealogy and history of the Hispanic pioneers of Alta California and their
antecedents and descendants.
Each edition of Noticias is numbered within a year, and the set of editions for a year form a
volume. Volumes are grouped together to form a Tomo ("book"), consisting of four to six volumes.
Each California Hispánica was also numbered sequentially throughout the series, and they are
included as part of the appropriate Noticias volume and Tomo.
The page numbers shown below correspond to that used in the Noticias indices, with unique
numbers across Tomo I through VI, then starting again at 1 with the first edition of each of Tomo
VII through X. In some editions, these page numbers are handwritten in to "replace" the original
page numbers in the edition.
