Pregunta 478 - 27 November 2007
Looking for information on
Tomas Archuleta,
native of New Mexico, and married to
Raimunda Alvarado.
This couple has 6 children that I know of:
Guadalupe Saturnino,
Francisco,
Pablo,
Cristobal,
Tomas, and
Jose Archuleta.
Also:
Domingo Batz who
married
Esperanza Albitre.
Does anyone have information on them besides what is in Marie Northrop's 3
volumes?
Also:
Tomas delso Innocentes
and
Maria Magdalena Linares.
Tomas also married
a second time, to
Maria Francisca Joaquina Verdugo.
I have all three volumes of Marie Northrop's works. Does anyone have
additional information on the children and who they married?
Please email me at -
johnalbitre@sbcglobal.net - but please also post your response on Los
Californianos "queries" so all may share in your response. Thanks so much,
[John Albitre (member), Bakersfield, Calif.]

Antonio Casanova
died March 1850 in Los Angeles (1850 US Census CA Mortality Schedule). His
daughter,
Rosa, married
Francisco Solano
22 May 1857 at the Plaza Church (Plaza Church records).
Francisco Solano
died 07 December 1871 in Los Angeles and was buried at the (original) Calvary
Cemetery, located at Bishop's Road and N. Broadway, and
Rosa Casanova [Ferlin]
died 14 August 1884 and was also buried at Calvary (diaries of Alfredo
Solano). All burials at Calvary Cemetery have now been removed to other
locations用presumably New Calvary, but not necessarily. (1) Does anyone have
further information about Antonio
Casanova,
Rosa Casanova, or
Francisco Solano?
(2) Does anyone know to where the Calvary Cemetery interments were removed?
(The original site is now Cathedral High School.) [Lawrence Bouett (member),

Costanoan, Ohlone, or just "Mission") named
Vicenta Gonzales;
she lived in or around Carmel for sure between 1833-1847. During that time

WHERE DOES THE LAST NAME PACHECO COME FROM???
Note: this query came without any
name or e-mail address. I do not normally publish questions without a
submitting name or e-mail, but this question gives me the opportunity to
remind people of that policy. Please remember, you must
fill in
a name and/or an e-mail address on
the submittal form. I receive
all the submittals as coming from the Web site itself. Also, I never publish
queries asking about descendants of a family name without some kind of
given names, places, or dates to limit the scope -- such questions are just
too broad. However, this question goes the other direction, so I thought it
would be of general interest. La Tejedora
